Creating an affiliate

  1. Are you ready?

    In this tutorial we are going to learn how to create an affiliate that is going to participate in split transactions and receive funds as a result of split payments.

    We are going to create a new affiliate with the following parameters:
    Processor:vantiv-lowell
    Code: AF001
    Name: My First Affiliate
    Tax ID: 331234567
    Legal name: SuperShop
    Birth Date: 07/12/1989
    SSN: 345678932
    Total Volume: 2000
    Avg Ticket: 100
    Max Ticket: 500
    Account #: 4099999992
    Routing #: 021000021

    Contact Information:
    John Smith
    300 5th Ave
    New York, NY 10001
    john.smith@email.com
    Phone: (646)123-4567
  2. Log in to the system using your Username and Password.

    Note: To learn how to log in and select perspectives, use the prerequisite tutorial Logging in and navigating the application.
  3. You can create an affiliate using New Merchant form, which is available at the following places:

    • Perspective => Merchant Perspective => New Merchant
    • Perspective => Merchant Perspective => New Merchant (Extended)
    • Perspective => Merchant Perspective => New Affiliate (Onboarding)

    You can choose any place you like.
  4. Click   Newbutton in the top left section of the screen.
  5. Choose   Merchant  menu item  from the list.
  6. Locate   Merchant  groupbox
  7. Locate   Type  label
  8. Locate   Affiliate  radio button and select it.
  9. Enter AF001 into the Codetextbox
  10. Enter My First Affiliate into the Nametextbox
  11. Locate   Password  password and enter or generate a password.

    Note: If you entered your own password, you have to confirm it manually using the Confirm password field. If you choose a system generated password, it will be confirmed automatically.
  12. Locate   Contact Information  groupbox
  13. Enter John Smith into the Contact Nametextbox
  14. Enter 300 5th Ave into the Street 1textbox
  15. Enter New York into the Citytextbox
  16. Select United States in Countrydropdown
  17. Select New York in State/Province/Regiondropdown
  18. Enter 10001 into the Zip Code/Postal Codetextbox
  19. Enter john.smith@email.com into the Emailtextbox
  20. Locate   Notes  groupbox to add additional notes (if needed).
  21. Click   Savebutton
  22. For an affiliate to receive funds as a result of split payments, its deposit information needs to be configured. To learn how to configure deposit information for an affiliate merchant review Configuring deposit information tutorial.
  23. Now, let's learn how to create an affiliate using Onboarding Application Wizard.
  24. Click   Newbutton in the top left section of the screen.
  25. Choose   Affiliate (Onboarding)  menu item  
  26. Click and select vantiv-lowell from the list.
  27. Locate   General  tab
  28. Enter 331234567 into the Underwritingtextbox
  29. Enter John Smith into the Nametextbox
  30. Click
  31. Locate   Business  tab
  32. Locate   Business Information  groupbox
  33. Enter SuperShop into the Legaltextbox
  34. Locate   Ownership Type  dropdown and choose Limited Partnership from the list.
  35. Enter 331234567 into the Tax IDtextbox
  36. Locate   Legal Address  groupbox
  37. Enter 300 5th Ave into the Streettextbox
  38. Enter New York into the Citytextbox
  39. Locate   State  dropdown and choose New York menu item form the list.
  40. Enter 10001 into the Zip Codetextbox
  41. Locate   Primary Owner  groupbox
  42. Click   Copy Data Frombutton and choose "'Legal Adress'" menu item to copy the data from Legal Adress groupbox.
  43. Locate   Personal  panel
  44. Enter John into the First Nametextbox
  45. Enter Smith into the Last Nametextbox
  46. Enter john.smith@email.com into the Emailtextbox
  47. Enter (646) 123-4567 into the Phonetextbox
  48. Enter 07/12/1989 into the Birth Datedatebox
  49. Enter 345678932 into the SSNtextbox
  50. Click
  51. Locate   Estimates  tab to specify transaction amounts that you are going to process.
  52. Locate   Estimates (Transaction Am...  groupbox
  53. Enter 2000 into the Total Volumetextbox
  54. Enter 100 into the Avg Tickettextbox
  55. Enter 500 into the Max Tickettextbox
  56. Click
  57. Locate   Settings  tab
  58. Locate   Remittance  groupbox
  59. Enter John Smith into the Holder Nametextbox
  60. Enter 4099999992 into the Account #textbox
  61. Enter 021000021 into the Routing #textbox
  62. Click
  63. Locate   Process  tab
  64. Locate   Process List  groupbox
  65. Click   Status Updatebutton to get the status of the onboarding process, whether it is pending, approved or declined.
  66. Click
  67. Congratulations, you are done!
